Shota Iatashvili was born in 1966 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is a poet, fiction writer, translator and art critic. He has published 10 poetry collections, a novel, four works of prose and a book of literary criticism. In 2007 and 2011 he won SABA Prize, and in 2020 — LITERA. His other awards are: Kievskie Lavri International Poetry Award, Ukraine, 2009; Polish literature award of Klemens Janicki for «Golden Ratio» selection of poems, 2018; and Vilenica Crystal Award at Vilenica International Literary Festival, Slovenia, 2018. His works have been translated into more than 20 languages.
